Braque lithographe
Reference catalogue for all the original lithographs of Georges Braque. Published in 1963, it is the essential book for the lovers of the prints of Braque, or for the dealers. This beautiful catalogue and the notes which accompany the illustrations has been made by Fernand Mourlot, who was the printer of the artist. All the lithographs are reproduced in colours, lithographicaly printed, and annotated (date, edition, publisher, printer, paper, exact size etc.)
The illustrated books with lithographs also appear in this catalogue, among which "Lettera amorosa" of Rene Char or "Les paroles transparentes" of Jean Paulhan. Nearly 150 lithographs are reproduced and described, from 1921 until the death of the artist in 1963. Very beautiful foreword of Francis Ponge on the technique of the lithography.
